These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JobShield ("we," "us," "our"), a warranty management platform operated at contprotect.ro. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

JobShield provides a cloud-based warranty management platform designed for contractors. Our services include warranty tracking, automated reminders, QR code generation, customer portals, and related tools ("Services").

2. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• One account per person or business entity. Account sharing is not permitted.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Billing & Payments

• JobShield offers a free trial period. No credit card is required to start.
• Paid plans are billed monthly at the rate displayed at the time of purchase ($19/month).
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months of service.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice.

4. Data Ownership

• You retain full ownership of all data you upload or create within JobShield, including customer records, warranty information, photos, and documents ("Your Data").
• We do not sell, rent, or share Your Data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• You grant us a limited license to process Your Data solely for providing the Services.
• Upon account termination, you may request a full export of Your Data within 30 days.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise system security.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Resell or redistribute the Services without written authorization.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform.

6. Warranties Disclaimer

JobShield is a tracking and management tool. We do not provide, guarantee, or extend any product warranties. The platform helps you organize and manage warranty information — the actual warranty obligations remain between you, your customers, and the equipment manufacturers.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• JobShield shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for losses caused by service interruptions, data loss due to circumstances beyond our control, or third-party actions.

8. Termination

• You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms with reasonable notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.
• We will retain Your Data for 30 days after termination to allow for export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
